In fall of 2020, construction of a new dock began on the island's village dock (the second improvement is at the winter dock, and massive construction is happening at Kingston to accommodate the new vessel). The new docks will service the state of the art electric ferry that was built in Romania by a Dutch company. It arrived this summer to dock temporarily in Picton, just west of us.
